Youth Symphony of Denton Orchestra Program
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Youth Symphony of Denton Orchestra Program. Our Orchestra offers a number of performance and concert opportunities for our members throughout the year including a Fall, Christmas, and Summer Concert, Student Socials, Chamber Performances, Summer Camp, Retreats and more. Please see our Calendar of Events for a detailed schedule.
Regular rehearsals take place at our location, Redeemer Church Denton, Pinnell Square, 1404 N. Corinth Parkway, Suite 301, Corinth, TX (Across from the Corinth NCTC campus). We are currently accepting auditions for our fourth Orchestra Season (8/12/2022 to 5/30/2023). There is a $10 audition registration fee for the orchestra.
Regular rehearsals take place on Saturdays and are currently held on the following schedule:
Please note that regular rehearsals times may change closer to performance days depending on the needs of the orchestra. Any changes to rehearsal times are announced in advance.
In addition to our regular program the Youth Symphony of Denton is pleased to announce that a new Chamber Music Program is coming soon! Chamber groups are typically 3-8 musicians working independently and also with a coach. This program is open to YSD Members and as well as non-members.

- Philharmonic Orchestra - 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Orchestra Tuition
Should you be accepted into the program, yearly tuition for the orchestras is paid to the Youth Symphony of Denton Orchestra, and can be divided into 10 equal monthly payments over the year, or paid in part or full at the beginning of the season. Payment can be made by cash, check, or electronic payment through Venmo.
2022-2023 participation fees are:
- Symphony & Philharmonic Orchestras: $600
- Preparatory & String Orchestras: $450
- Symphony Orchestra Winds and Brass: $420
- Chamber Music Institute (Youth Symphony Members) : $300
- Chamber Music Institute (Non-Youth Symphony Members): $300
In addition to the participation fees above, a $50 non-refundable annual registration fee (per family) is due on July 1st or upon acceptance to the Orchestra. Additional participation information about the orchestra can be found in the YSD Parent Student Handbook. Be sure to review the handbook and fill out the Parent Student Handbook Acknowledgement form, after updates have been made for the new season.
